How does Quires and Places work?
We are a small, independent business, run by choral nerds for choral nerds. To save costs, unnecessary production, and waste, most of our products are fulfilled by our partner site, Printful, on a "print on demand" basis.
What is "print on demand"?
Essentially, it's what it sounds like. Products are not printed until ordered. The original design, made by Quires and Places, is printed onto the products made by Printful, who fulfil the order and send it out. There are fulfilment centres all around the world, meaning we can offer international delivery at reasonable rates, as set by Printful. We can spend more time making great new designs (and memes) instead of spending time packaging and posting the items ourselves.
What products aren't "print on demand"?
We have a small but growing number of products that we ship ourselves, directly from the UK. As such these items have different shipping rates depending on your location.
These items are (currently):
- Magnifi Cat enamel pins
- Word Christmas Tie
- A3 posters
- Word tote bags
- pencils
If you order one of these alongside any other items, you will have two different shipping costs as they are being fulfilled from different places.
I would like a refund or to return my order.
How can I make that happen?
Print on demand items:
Because the item is only printed once ordered, refunds are only possible if the item is:
- not what was ordered
- defective
- not received and not marked as delivered
If the item is not received, but marked on the tracking app as delivered, please check with the delivery company first (Royal Mail, for instance).
Items we ship directly:
As there are no size options for those products there should be no issue there. If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, please contact us.
Sizing
Each item has a Size Chart indicating the sizing for the clothing items we stock. Please note that it is vital to order the right size, as we cannot exchange or refund if you order the wrong size. If it is not clear, please be in touch with us first so we can resolve the issue before ordering.
Do you do bespoke designs for choirs/groups?
If you run a choir or other group and would like to discuss designing a tour hoodie, or other bulk buying discounts, please get in touch. We'd be happy to chat!
